MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS 1/30/2012

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS
1/30/2012 in KANSAS CITY, Mo.

After WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix quickly dispatched of Eve with the Glam Slam, Kane appeared on the arena screen to recall how he injured Zack Ryder at Royal Rumble. Calling out Cena for not embracing hate, The Big Red Monster said Ryder’s injuries could have been avoided. Looking toward WrestleMania, Kane declared “Until Cena truly embraces the hate, he can’t beat me and he can’t beat The Rock.”
With Eve focused on the arena screen, Kane stunned everyone and appeared at ringside. As he stalked Eve in the ring, the leader of the Cenation rushed in to confront The Big Red Monster. Full of emotion, Cena brutally attacked Kane, smashing him with the steel rings steps three times.
But as he prepared to hit the Attitude Adjustment on the announce table, The Devil’s Favorite Demon managed to escape and flee into the WWE Universe.

WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Results: Cena VS Kane

Posted on 18:58 by Unknown

ST. LOUIS – In front of more than 18,000 members of the WWE Universe, The Big Red Monster Kane and John Cena went to war, trading one punishing blow after another. When their bitter fight spilled from the ring, the bout ended in a double count-out.

But the action was far from over.

The tooth-and-nail conflict continued within the Scottrade Center, where Kane repeatedly bashed Cena with a steel chair. With Cena down, Kane stormed through the dressing room door of the wheelchair-bound Zack Ryder, and applied his debilitating face claw.

After wheeling Ryder to ringside, The Big Red Monster tossed him in the ring. As The Devil's Favorite Demon stalked his prey, a concerned Eve came rushing to the ring. Despite Eve begging Kane not to hurt Ryder any further, Kane brutally tombstoned the former United States Champion with no hesitation. Then as he turned his attention to Eve, Cena came charging to the ring. Despite his best effort, Cena fell victim to a vicious chokeslam.

After the painful assault, the already-injured Ryder was removed from the ring in a stretcher.

After the brutal ending at the 25th anniversary of Royal Rumble, will Cena finally embrace hate to gain retribution against his demonic foe? Find out what transpires on Monday's Raw SuperShow at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

Should Eve be mad at John Cena?

Posted on 20:18 by Unknown
Should Eve be mad at John Cena?

Pity the poor soul Zack Ryder, who suffered yet another ignominy during Raw SuperShow this past Monday when he was chokeslammed through the stage by Kane during a Falls Count Anywhere Match. In the past month alone, Long Island Iced-Z has been pummeled by Kane through a loading pallet and lost his United States Championship to Jack Swagger under questionable pretenses. Ryder was not medically cleared to compete, but an oversight by Executive VP of Talent Relations and Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis allowed the match to proceed. This past Monday, still reeling from injuries sustained at the hands of The All-American American, Ryder faced his tormentor head-on and was driven through the stage for his troubles, suffering a herniated disc at the hands of The Devil's Favorite Demon.

So where does the buck stop now? In a seemingly endless cycle of brutality leveled against the beloved, self-proclaimed Internet Champion, who's to blame for the predicament?

If your answer is "John Cena," you're not alone. Eve, Ryder's friend, laid the fault for Ryder's suffering at the feet of the Cenation leader, berating Ryder’s broski before getting into the ambulance with the motionless former U.S. Champion. (WATCH)

The truth is, Eve has a point. Kane has made his intentions clear: to make Cena "embrace the hate" at all costs. But rather than confront Cena himself, The Big Red Monster has instead targeted Ryder, and relentlessly so. The unspoken implication seems to be that the beatings will continue until Cena bends to The Devil's Favorite Demon's will. Thus far, Cena has taken the high road and resisted, and the tactic has, all things considered, left Ryder more or less to fight his own battles against Kane and Swagger. One could argue that Cena is holding out on aid for a friend who is injured and outmatched, all in the name of his personal credo. It was Ryder, not Cena, who had to walk down to the ring and …

Wait a second.

Why not blame Ryder?

Ryder's a grown man. There's nobody stopping him from protecting his body and his health and refusing to compete against Jack Swagger. Nobody was making Ryder put his hard-won United States Championship on the line against an opponent with the built-in advantage of unbroken ribs. Furthermore, nobody forced Ryder's hand in his match against Kane either.

Although, there was that stipulation that Mr. Laurinaitis added to the Ryder-Kane match: the one where, if Cena interfered, Ryder would never get a United States Title opportunity again. Perhaps this is all on Laurinaitis, who also seemed to willingly overlook the doctor’s report that would have stopped the title match and, presumably, kept the United States Championship around Ryder's waist.

It's not unfair to say there are plenty of players who are just as, if not more, at fault than Ryder in what has transpired thus far. And yet, Eve has blamed Cena, the one man who unquestionably has tried to protect Ryder this entire time. The question this whole time seems to have been whether or not Cena will "Rise Above Hate," but perhaps it’s fair to ask if Eve should have done the same?

Then again, Cena did look like he was about to lose his cool in the backstage area as Ryder was carted out. Maybe Eve has the right idea after all, and the time for the high road is finally over.

After RAW went off Air 1/23/2012

Posted on 13:57 by Unknown

After last night’s WWE RAW Supershow in Phoenix, John Laurinaitis made a WWE Title match between CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. Punk got the pinfall victory after hitting Ziggler with the Go To Sleep.

While the WWE Champion was celebrating, Kane came out to confront CM Punk, but John Cena made the save. Kane and Cena fought until Kane chokeslammed him. Kane left but came back to receive an Attitude Adjustment to end the show.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS
in Phoenix, AZ 1/23/2012

One week after unloading a verbal tirade on Mr. Laurinaitis, The Voice of the Voiceless opened WWE Raw SuperShow by calling out the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, and demanding he admit that he will screw Punk at Royal Rumble. To the surprise of the WWE Universe, John Cena made his way to the ring as Mr. Laurinaitis did not. Cena took the opportunity to demand a match with Kane on Raw and to grant Zack Ryder a U.S. Title rematch.
The Interim Raw General Manager finally appeared and announced that Zack Ryder would face Kane in a Falls Count Anywhere Match tonight. He also declared that if Cena interfered, Long Island Iced-Z would never have another U.S. Title opportunity. Mr. Laurinaitis then announced that CM Punk and John Cena would battle Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler next!

Dolph Ziggler & U.S. Champion Jack Swagger def. WWE Champion CM Punk & John Cena
In an impromptu tag team match, John Cena and CM Punk immediately showed great teamwork in an effort to take out their frustrations with Mr. Laurinaitis. With momentum not in their favor, Ziggler and Swagger tried to regroup and re-strategize.

With a combination of pure athleticism and show-boating, The All-American American and No. 1 contender to the WWE Title built a fair amount of momentum against Cena. But the fighting spirit deep within the Cenation leader overpowered Swagger with an Attitude Adjustment paving the way for the WWE Champion to get inside the squared circle. However, as The Voice of the Voiceless ascended the ropes to elbow drop Ziggler, Mr. Laurinaitis distracted Punk, allowing The Show-Off to capture the victory.
In response, CM Punk challenged the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations to a match tonight and Mr. Laurinaitis accepted!

IN PHOENIX – Today, the Make-A-Wish Foundation honored WWE Superstar John Cena and WWE for their contributions to wish kids by dedicating a WWE-themed conference room in the charity’s global headquarters.

John Cena is on pace to grant 300 wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions, making him the first celebrity wish granter ever to reach that lofty goal. Recently, John Cena teamed up with Post Foods to prominently display the Make-A-Wish Foundation alongside his image on newly designed boxes of Post Fruity Pebbles Cereal (MORE), which are available nationwide through March.
WWE and WWE Superstars have been granting wishes with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for more than 30 years and have donated a significant amount of funds to help cover costs associated with many of those wishes. In addition to John Cena, WWE and its talent have received the “Chris Greicius Award” award four additional times.
“WWE wishes have been popular since early in the Foundation’s history and we are proud to count the WWE and its Superstars as longtime supporters,” said David Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. “John Cena’s commitment to our mission and his connection with our wish kids make him one of our best wish ambassadors. We are grateful for everything John and WWE have done, and we look forward to them granting many more wishes in the future.”

John Cena continues to be one of the most frequently requested celebrity wishes. Tonight, John Cena is scheduled to grant two wishes at WWE Monday Night Raw at US Airways Center in Phoenix.

Dolph Ziggler thoughts on Who Will Win Rock vs Cena

Posted on 13:27 by Unknown
Dolph Ziggler took part in an interview with ECollegeTimes.com

He was ask Who will win Rock Vs Cena.
He said the quote below.
“Both those guys are in awesome shape. Cena is like our franchise guy. He carries the company on his back and he’s out there every single night doing everything he can to give back to the fans. The Rock, he’s awesome at what he does, but he’s kind of moved on and he’s a movie star now, so I’ve gotta go with the hometown guy who is out there in the trenches with us every single weekend as opposed to the guy that comes back a couple times a year.”

Teachers' Corner: John Cena inspires sixth grade class

WWE.com's Teachers' Corner is a place for educators to share their stories about how they use WWE as a tool in their classrooms. Stay tuned to Teachers' Corner for more stories about how WWE has helped students succeed. Are you an educator with a story you want to share with WWE.com's Teachers' Corner? E-mail us.

Teachers' Corner recently received a letter from an educator in Canada who uses a photo of John Cena to encourage students to write creatively.

As a grade six teacher I have a lot of young WWE fans in my class. A few years ago my husband took a picture of me with John Cena at a WWE live event. In class I do a lot of story writing based on picture prompts and this photo is always a hit! The kids want to know if I'm close friends with John Cena, if he was my boyfriend and sometimes I even get some in-ring action (where, of course, they make me lose). It's a great way to build rapport and I often encourage using WWE Superstars in their stories if that interests them.

This year, I directed a student who was working on a social action project to the be a STAR program when he needed to research an organization that was helping to fight bullying.

WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View: John Cena VS Kane

Posted on 00:24 by Unknown
WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View: John Cena VS Kane

In a real-life battle of good versus evil, John Cena will face one of the gravest challenges of his career Jan. 29 when he squares off against Kane at the 25th anniversary of WWE’s Royal Rumble event. Devoid of championship implications, yet worlds removed from being a matter of simple bragging rights, this main-event-caliber showdown had been constructed around a single, base emotion: hate.

Now that Kane’s plan to “spread the hate” has ensnared Cena’s good friend Zack Ryder, however, another emotion has potentially been added to the mix for the Cenation leader: guilt. With Kane having attacked and seriously injured the United States Champion, Cena heads into the Royal Rumble event painfully aware that his rivalry with Kane has already brought harm upon one close ally.

Long before Ryder became entangled, though, this was a matter all about hate. On one side of the equation is the righteous Cena, who proudly advocates a “Rise Above” mentality whenever the topic is broached. On the other side is hate incarnate, the restrengthened Big Red Machine, who has been a destructive force without peer since resurfacing – with mask – last December.

Although these two Superstars have faced off before, their upcoming bout at the Royal Rumble is made unique by this compelling piece of subtext, which, it must be noted, came about because of the WWE Universe’s mixed response to Cena.

For years, Cena has served as WWE’s ever-so-marketable face. As such, there have been precious few moments in time when his back hasn’t had a bull’s-eye on it. Fragmented by dueling chants of “Let’s Go Cena” and “Cena Sucks,” the WWE Universe has grown accustomed to seeing the polarizing Superstar turn back one opponent after another.

The Devil’s Favorite Demon, though, appears to have shaken Cena to the core with his message of hate. Originally intent on convincing Cena to “embrace the hate,” Kane insisted for weeks that the Cenation leader tap into a thread of DNA that may not even exist.

His endeavor has proven fruitless, as the diplomatic Cena continues to hold firm in his belief that the WWE Universe should be free to cheer or boo whichever Superstars they see fit – even him.

Cena’s principled ways, however, have come at a high cost - in this case, repeated attacks by Kane that have spilled over to include Ryder. Seemingly conceding that Cena is unlikely to stray from his beliefs, The Big Red Machine now says he’s out to ensure that Cena suffers the consequences of rejecting hate.

Though Cena barely thwarted Kane’s devious plan to drag Ryder into hell on the Jan. 2 Raw SuperShow, luck was not on his side, or Ryder’s, a week later when Kane used Ryder as bait to lure Cena into a trap.

The WWE Universe watched on in horror Jan. 9, as The Big Red Machine injured Ryder by chokeslamming the U.S. Champion off a loading dock platform onto wooden pallets. Although Cena tried to run interference and prevent Kane from further assaulting his friend, The Big Red Machine overpowered the Cenation commander-in-chief, leaving him lying, unconscious, as the show went off the air.

On Jan. 29, live on pay-per-view, Cena will have his chance to avenge Ryder, while Kane will have his opportunity to reap the consequences that he seeks. Who will succeed? Has The Devil’s Favorite Demon’s relentless attacks worn down Cena? Or will Cena, outmatched physically by the terrorizing monster, somehow manage to out-will Kane?

Zack Ryder Suffering: Is John Cena to blame?

Posted on 15:16 by Unknown
Zack Ryder Suffering: Is John Cena to blame?
It hasn’t exactly been sunshine and lollipops for John Cena recently. His refusal to acquiesce to Kane’s demands and embrace the hate has raised the ire of The Big Red Monster — never a good thing for any WWE Superstar. But Cena hasn’t been the only one made to suffer at the hands of Kane. The shrapnel of that intensifying rivalry has now wounded United States Champion Zack Ryder, leaving WWE.com to wonder: Is John Cena responsible for Kane’s recent attacks on Long Island Iced-Z?

While that sentiment may not sit well with some in the WWE Universe, let’s take a step back and examine how things have progressed over the past few weeks. Kane has taken umbrage with Cena’s positive outlook and aspirations to Rise Above Hate and in response, The Big Red Machine has decided to make the weathered leader of Cenation pay with a series of brutal attacks. But the assaults haven’t stopped with Cena.

Perhaps because Cena and Ryder are friends, Kane has also targeted the U.S. Champion, taking the normally jovial Zack Ryder to dark new places. Dating back to Ryder’s earliest days of filming his hugely popular YouTube series, Z! True Long Island Story, the Internet Champion has shared a special bond with John Cena. Being friends with one of the greatest Superstars of all time proved to be a boon for Ryder in those early days and helped him expand upon his already impressive number of followers.

Zack has gone out of his way recently to thank Cena for helping make his WWE dreams come true. But Cena’s not the only one responsible for Ryder’s ascension in WWE. The credit for that also goes to the WWE Universe — the fans that supported the little-known Superstar from the start and helped make him the champion he is today. Kane has shown the same hatred toward the WWE Universe that he’s heaped upon John Cena, and that raises an interesting point.

Ryder’s symbiotic relationships with both Cena and the WWE Universe have been hazardous to his health, and have resulted in a very real nightmare in the form of a lurking monster.

Kane’s unnerving attacks on Ryder have left Long Island Iced-Z—and the WWE Universe at large—thoroughly creeped out. Being hunted by The Big Red Monster is taking its toll on Ryder, who now must look for Kane around every corner and in every dark room.

Ryder’s fears are well warranted, of course, as evidenced by the unforgettable scene that played out several weeks ago on Raw. The image of Kane trying to drag Ryder into the abyss under the ring will stick in the minds of WWE fans everywhere for a good, long while.

That ghoulish example of what Kane is capable of led Ryder to say on Z! True Long Island Story that he was the most scared he’s ever been in his life. However, thanks to John Cena’s last-moment save, that instance turned out to be nothing more than a seriously close, if seriously scary, call for Zack. Still, it can be argued that Cena’s interference only succeeded in further angering Kane, who intensified his pursuit of Ryder on the Jan. 9 Raw SuperShow.

Kane stalked the Internet Champion all over the American Bank Center in Corpus Christ, Texas, driving Ryder to new heights of paranoia and making him jump at shadows. Despite Ryder’s heightened sense of awareness that night, however, when Kane eventually did materialize, he took the Internet Champion by surprise. (WATCH)

In an encounter reminiscent of a horror movie, Kane snuck up on Ryder and chokeslamed him off the loading docks outside the arena, leaving the United States Champion seriously injured and badly shaken. The dream that Zack so graciously thanked John Cena for making come true may now be in serious jeopardy. Ryder’s ability to successfully defend his U.S. Title against Jack Swagger Monday night on Raw is now called into question. Will Ryder be physically — not to mention mentally — ready to take on The All-American American? And if Ryder fails to retain his title, just how much blame can be placed upon John Cena’s shoulders?

Adding another layer to this story, as the horror of Kane’s Jan. 9 assault on Ryder played out, WWE Diva Eve was left helpless, forced to watch Ryder — with whom she has a budding relationship — as he was terrorized by the monster. In a WWE.com exclusive video released last week, Eve expressed just how terrified Kane has made her and questions the motives behind the monster’s tirade.

But Eve’s presence on the night of Kane’s attack raises even more questions. It’s become apparent that Ryder is only attacked when John Cena—and now Eve—is near. So what, if anything, does Kane’s hatred of John Cena have to do with Zack Ryder? What about Eve? What is her role in all of this?

If not for Ryder’s friendship with the leader of Cenation, would Long Island Iced-Z find himself in this predicament? And what about the role the WWE Universe has played in all of this? Finally and perhaps most importantly, can Ryder rise above Kane’s onslaught, or is he, as Kane has alluded, simply delaying the inevitable?

"WWE Magazine" Awards; John Cena the Record-Setter of the Year!

Posted on 00:32 by Unknown
*Record-Setter of the Year
John Cena on winning 10 WWE Championships in 10 Years.
“If I can win one a year until I’m done, then I will retire a 46-time WWE Champion.”
......................

-The other SuperStars that got an WWE Magazine Award:

Most Improved Superstar
Zack Ryder on 2011

“2011 has been the best year of my career so far. My dream as a kid wasn't just to be some guy on the roster; I wanted to be a top guy. So all this recognition for me, all the merchandise, the support of the Zack Pack, it doesn't surprise me. But what’s next? Earlier, I couldn't get on Raw if my life depended on it, and now I’m working matches with John Cena. Being in the ring with guys like him has definitely made me better and more confident. The only way to improve is to be out there and get that experience. And now, I’m getting it, and I’m not going to mess it up.”

Best Mic Skills
CM Punk on his gift of gab

“Honestly, I don’t know if I ever learned it. I was once given a great piece of advice by The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes. He told me that the best stuff comes from the heart, and that’s all I've ever done. I don’t try to think about what I’m going to say because then it seems forced, rehearsed and phony. So when you see me with a mic in my hand, it’s just me talking. It’s what I do, it’s who I am, and I can talk all day long. Some animals are born with claws. Well, I was born with the ability to talk.”

Most Underrated Superstar
Wade Barrett

“My question is underrated by whom? As far as I’m concerned, I’m the Number One-rated WWE Superstar and that’s been the same the whole year round. And that’s not going to change anytime soon.”

Why do you chant "Cena Sucks"? (Part 2 of 2)

Why do you chant "Cena Sucks"? (Part 2 of 2)
And now, finally, we hear their voices. Individual voices, mind you, not just a collective mish-mosh of animosity spewed in the brightly-colored direction of John Cena. Yesterday we featured love from the Cenation itself, but we also polled those members of the WWE Universe who boo the Cenation leader, cheer for his doom at the hands of Kane or The Rock, and scrounge up every one of those “Cena Sucks” shirts they can get their hands on. These are the fans who jeer Cena at every turn, who scream bile from the stands and whose brains defensively zoom to a "happy place" whenever Justin Roberts yells that “JOOOOOHHHHHNNNN CEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNAAAA!!!” is in the building.

So yeah, what we’re basically trying to say is they do not like the guy, and we at WWE.com sorted painstakingly through this intricate tapestry of “Haterade” to pick some of the most telling, passionate and common gripes against Cena. Here’s what they had to say.

The WWE Universe Thinks #CenaSucks Because …

They’re Tired of His Shtick: Perhaps the most common complaint among the boobirds was that the Cenation leader has become predictable on the mic and in the ring, and would be better off if he returned to his edgier ways of the early ‘00s. Joseph Fadoir wrote on Facebook, “He's lost his edge. He was better in 2004 when he was hungry for success. Ever since he won his first WWE title it seems he just goes through the motions and certain opponents have to bring the fight out of him … He doesn't have to change his values. Just a few tweaks here and there. He's missing the intensity he once had.” Fadoir finished his well-thought post with a simple “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

He’s Hulk Hogan All Over Again: In some circles this might not be a bad thing, but it seems the current crop of fans doesn’t take kindly to Cena imitating the Hulkster’s superhuman tendencies from back in the '80s, likening Cena's "Five Moves of Doom" to the Hulk Up-Atomic Leg Drop that would inevitably come at the end of Hogan's matches. To wit, Mike Stewart on Facebook wrote he boos Cena, “Because one Hulk Hogan was enough!”

He Hogs the Spotlight: Alternately, Kanisha QueenBee Powell wrote on Facebook that she DOESN’T hate Cena; she just wishes he’d let other guys take the spotlight. “I understand he was the money maker for WWE and he still is because hate him or love him, you come out to see him. I just say let someone else shine because [there] are better and brighter stars.”

On Twitter, @DominicanGlory posted that Cena was “bland” and had been “shoved down [his] throat for almost a decade.” He said some other stuff too, but we can’t really print it here.

And finally, @dcblakglasses tweeted “I don’t hate you, John. I don't even dislike you. I hate this idea that you're the best." Which we’re pretty sure he stole from somebody, though for the life of us we can’t figure out who …

They Think He Can’t Wrestle: “he can’t even take a bump and he runs like a penguin,” @guidaoust tweeted. For the record, the average foot speed of a penguin is 2.4 mph, so there’s probably a second, hidden insult in there as well.

It’s a Matter of Math: “I’m 50/50 so he sucks,” Mikey Mastuzik wrote on Facebook. Um, how are you with logarithms, Mikey?

Because They Just Do: In the same way that some people just don’t like ice cream, John Cena is just not appealing to a certain sect of the WWE Universe and that’s all there is to it. @Borrachach simply tweeted “#CenaSucks” until he filled up the 140 character limit, pausing only for space breaks.

@MIZfitKrista was much more succinct, tweeting, “@WWEUniverse #CenaSucks and i say that because well....Im a hater.”

And @NutsythaBroski summed it up: “Simple...... cause we've Cenanuff #CenaSucks.”

In all honesty, we’re pretty sure Cena would appreciate the pun.

Why do you chant "Let's Go, Cena"? (Part 1 of 2)

Posted on 00:13 by Unknown
Why do you chant "Let's Go, Cena"? (Part 1 of 2)

To some, supporting John Cena isn’t so much a choice as a calling, a civic duty, a bona fide requirement of membership in the WWE Universe and America itself. To his supporters, the Cenation leader is as wholesome and good as milk and apple pie and a representation of all that is kind and wonderful in this crazy little thing called life.

Tell certain Cena haters you’re a fan, and you might as well be throwing your weight behind the devil himself, spitting in the very face of reason, physics, originality and truth (not to be confused with R-Truth). To Cena’s detractors, he is a wannabe, a sellout, a washed-up paragon of everything wrong with WWE.

It’s a well-known fact that Cena’s fan response has always been … divided, let’s call it. But the question that has never been definitively asked is why. To settle the debate once and for all (or at least for this week), WWE.com asked our Facebook and Twitter followers to elaborate on why they cheered or booed Cena. Suffice to say, your responses exhausted every last explanation for either and, for the first time ever, WWE.com will now hear from YOU – the WWE Universe itself – on what makes John Cena so alternately great or insufferable. These responses are 100% real and not doctored in any way by WWE.com. The Cenation is up first, come back tomorrow for the boobirds. Here we go:

The WWE Universe Cheers #Let’sGoCena Because:

He Follows His own Mantra: @xYouCraveNANA tweeted, “I'm #letsgocena cuz @JohnCena is true to his word. Hard to see ppl nowadays who stand by their word. He's REAL and determined.” And, on Facebook, Charlynn Cena (?!) writes, “All he does is work to entertain his fans putting his body on the line for us. Everyday he walks in that ring with pride, dignity Loyalty & respect. He never gives up & rises above hate.”

He’s an Inspiration: Facebook user Kimmy LovesDeanforever Ever (aww) gushed of Cena, “i support cena now and forever!! he totally rocks!!! he's an inspiration and motivation for me in my life. whenever i'm stuck or feel down, i think about him. It's true about his tagline: RISE ABOVE HATE...in this world there is hate but if we can rise above it then it will be a better world for everyone.” Likewise, on Twitter, follower @WILLIAMCOTTMAN tweeted “I cheer John Cena Hustle (work hard), Loyalty (you never know who you might need) and Respect (You have to give it to get) #LetsGoCena.”

He’s a Good Boy: Facebook user Ixara Leene Yusa writes that the Cenation leader is “the example of a well-behaved person.” This is true, really. Hit the guy with a chokeslam, tear the shirt off his back and he is still all smiles. Just ask Kane

He Thinks of the Children: This is a big one. Facebook user Nik Deveroux Foxx mentioned Cena’s Make-a-Wish Foundation work, saying the Superstar “belongs in the book of records” for his philanthropy. Incidentally, Cena’s closing in on his 300th Make-a-Wish visit; when he gets it, he will have fulfilled the most wishes of any celebrity (actors, athletes, etc.) ever.

He Likes Zack Ryder and He Isn’t The Rock: @pothole0222 hashtagged his post #LetsGoCena because “he shows up every night unlike some ‘superstars’! (Lookin at u @TheRock),” and @rsapexcarnivore supports Cena “Cena because “1. I can!!! 2. He is energetic! and 3. He's a broski, like me! #WWWYKI”

Well said, bro.

John Cena’s Value To WWE

Posted on 21:32 by Unknown
John Cena's Value To WWE:

ESPN’s financial expert Michele Steele tweeted on Tuesday that John Cena was worth $106 million in retail value to WWE in 2011.

No further details were given to explain Cena’s direct impact on WWE’s business, but the figure likely includes John Cena merchandise and an estimate of Cena’s impact on PPV buyrates, live event ticket sales and ad revenue from WWE programming featuring Cena.

With that kind of money rolling in due to , its understandable how WWE would be hesitant turning him heel and disrupting a formula that is working very well.

Post Fruity Pebbles teams up with John Cena

Posted on 21:29 by Unknown

PARSIPANNY, N.J. – Post Fruity Pebbles and WWE Superstar John Cena are teaming up for a new partnership, which includes a collectable cereal box and an instant-win promotion awarding a VIP meet-and-greet with the talent.

Cena’s passion charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, for which he has granted over 250 wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, and ‘be a STAR,’ the anti-bullying alliance co-founded by WWE and The Creative Coalition, are prominently displayed on newly-designed Fruity Pebbles cereal boxes featured nationwide January through March.

“It is truly an honor to team up with Post Fruity Pebbles. After all, who doesn’t dream of being on a cereal box one day?” said Cena. “I am proud that the partnership also spreads awareness about the life-changing wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and ‘be a STAR’s’ anti-bullying message of showing tolerance and respect.”

“We are thrilled to support John Cena’s work in and out of the ring for children with life-threatening medical conditions and those who are being bullied,” said Michael Krishnan, Senior Brand Manager at Post Foods. “We hope Fruity Pebbles’ partnership with this popular WWE Superstar will raise awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and ‘be a STAR’.”

The on-pack instant win grand prize winners will each receive a VIP meet-and-greet with Cena, priority seating and transportation to a WWE live event, and an autographed “Rise Above Hate” T-shirt, in support of the ‘be a STAR’ anti-bullying message. First prize winners will receive an autographed version of the exclusive T-shirt. The second prize winners will receive the exclusive T-shirt. To enter, look inside the specially marked boxes featuring Cena for a special code to submit on www.PebblesPlay.com/Cena.

The partnership stems from the onscreen and social media rivalry between Cena and WrestleMania XXVIII opponent Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who compared Cena’s brightly colored wardrobe to a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. Cena embraced the new nickname, saying he is “Yabba, Dabba Delicious.”

Post Fruity Pebbles Cereal and Fruity Pebbles Treats can be found at grocery stores nationwide. For more information, visit www.PostCereals.com.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS
1/9/2012

in CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Kane continued to taunt John Cena on the second WWE Raw SuperShow of 2012 and brutally attacked Cena and United States Champion Zack Ryder. Also, Chris Jericho was once again speechless in front of the WWE Universe and Edge and the legendary Four Horsemen were announced as 2012 WWE Hall of Fame inductees.
John Cena attacked Kane
The Big Red Monster started the second WWE Raw SuperShow of 2012 by taunting John Cena, continuing to push him to embrace hate. It didn’t take long for the Cenation leader to respond as he charged the ring and a brawl erupted all over the arena and backstage. The battle ended in a stalemate with neither Superstar truly getting the best of the other.

Dolph Ziggler and John Cena ended in a double count-out
Two weeks before facing WWE Champion CM Punk, No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler battled 10-time WWE Champion John Cena in WWE Raw SuperShow's main event.
Ziggler used his agility and amateur background to show-off and keep Cena from building momentum early in the contest. However, as Cena built up steam against Ziggler, the TitanTron showed Kane attacking Zack Ryder as the U.S. Champion tried to change his flat tire.
As soon as he was free of Ziggler's attempts at a sleeper hold, Cena ran to help his broski. As he exited the arena, the Cenation leader was attacked by The Big Red Monster. The menacing Kane stood over the unconscious Cena and Ryder as Raw SuperShow went off the air.

WWE: Should Cena embrace the hate?

Posted on 00:36 by Unknown
WWE: Should Cena embrace the hate?

John Cena doesn’t hate anybody.

He doesn’t hate his opponents, he doesn’t hate his detractors, and he certainly doesn’t hate the divided response from the WWE Universe that has become something of his calling card. Cena also doesn’t hate you if you boo him. More power to you, in fact. He has dealt with the interspersed jeers his entire career. Indeed, the Cenation leader began 2012 much as he ended 2011: in the middle of a WWE ring, passionately insisting to the WWE Universe that its opinion is its own and he, a humble athlete, has no place to tell them otherwise.

If there was anything to take away from the address, it was that John Cena would do what he has always done and take the high road, all the way to WrestleMania and the WWE Championship.

Here’s the thing, though: the high road isn’t working for Cena like it used to. And if he doesn’t change up his style, there might not be a Cena for The Rock to get his hands on at WrestleMania.

You can forget championships. These days Cena’s lucky to make it through the night in one piece. The high road didn’t protect Cena from The Great One’s bone-jarring Rock Bottom at Survivor Series, the one that sent him stumbling back to the locker room while The Brahma Bull bathed in the MSG crowd’s adulation. It didn’t get WWE EVP of Talent Relations and Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis to grant Cena a match at WWE TLC, even after he sacrificed his spot in the main event so that Zack Ryder could challenge for (and win) the United States Championship. And most importantly, it hasn’t saved him from Kane the past few weeks.

Kane is an example of what a WWE Superstar can become when he embraces the hate: terrifying, ruthless. A hair shy of grotesque, yes, but after his maulings of Cena, there’s a good chance you could add “unbeatable” to the list as well. Kane vowed last summer to exorcise his humanity, and his “resurrection” in December did just that, turning The Big Red Machine into the faceless monster of yesteryear.

His current agenda is simple: expose Cena's goodness as a lie, and convince the Cenation leader to crumble beneath the animosity of the WWE Universe members who boo him. Cena insists it’s all good, that he’ll make like the T-shirt says and simply Rise Above Hate. The truth, however, is that Kane won’t stop tormenting Cena until he does as commanded.

Oh, and by the way: Kane is winning.

Physically, Cena has been little to no match for the monster, falling time and time again to the demon’s chokeslam. Mentally, it doesn’t take a longtime viewer to see that Cena’s façade is crumbling. His stoicism failed him as Kane led the “Cena Sucks” chants to close out 2012, and he nearly jumped out of his jorts when The Big Red Monster attempted to drag Zack Ryder down to hell on Raw SuperShow this past Monday.

To top everything off, the jeers keep coming. Cena’s boobirds are fast becoming legion, growing along with Kane’s mean streak. And if there’s one thing to take away from the last few Raw SuperShows, it’s that no one is coming to help him, and without his beloved Cenation at his back, he may well be unequipped to handle such an opponent.

Imagine, though: What if Cena changed it up?

What then would we have on our hands if Cena took all his power, harnessed all the anger he says isn’t there and turned it against his detractors? What if he embraced hate and used it like Kane is using it? Would Kane crumble beneath the Attitude Adjustment? Would The Rock tap out to a shattering STF? Would Cena grab hold of a thirteenth World Championship and never let it go? It’s a scenario that begs consideration.

Even with The Rock looming large in the distance, it seems likely that Cena must go through Kane to get there. When these two meet, it’s a fair point that Cena might need a little extra something to overcome The Devil’s Favorite Demon – to carry him onward toward his showdown with The People’s Champion in Miami.

Cena, to his credit, won’t hear it. Even with the exit sign to the high road in ashes, John Cena still doesn’t hate anybody.

Yet.

CNN mentions John Cena

Posted on 18:30 by Unknown

John Cena was featured on CNN during Saturday night’s 2011 Year In Review recap show, hosted by Anderson Cooper.

Cooper made mention of Cena’s announcement on the death of Osama bin Laden to the live audience at the end of WWE Extreme Rules, which included CNN playing a YouTube clip of the announcement and showing the PPV graphic.

- John Cena sent the following tweet to recognize the end of 2011 and the start of 2012:
“A polarizing 2011 comes to an end. One filled with love and hate. The struggle continues tomorrow. A new day. A new year. Rise Above Hate. “

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS
1/2/2012
in MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The first Raw SuperShow of 2012 offered plenty of surprises for the WWE Universe and the WWE Superstars, as Kane continued to torment John Cena with his message of hate, and Chris Jericho lit up Memphis with an unexpected return.

John Cena called out Kane
After wishing the WWE Universe a happy new year and sharing his resolutions for 2012, John Cena addressed Kane’s hateful rage. The leader of the Cenation said he’ll continue to enjoy whatever response he gets from the WWE Universe, and thanked them, despite Kane’s recent actions. Ready for a fight, he called out The Big Red Monster. Rather than getting in the ring with Cena, Kane promised him he’ll embrace the hate and personally witness its true power tonight!

John Cena, Big Show & United States Champion Zack Ryder def. Mark Henry & Jack Swagger
Ditched by their tag team partner, Kane, Mark Henry & Jack Swagger were forced to fight John Cena, Big Show & United States Champion Zack Ryder in the Six-Man Elimination Match.
Big Show and Mark Henry were first eliminated by a double count-out in the Handicap Match. With the numbers working against him, Swagger put the ankle lock on Ryder, but Cena tagged in and hit The All-American American with the Attitude Adjustment for the victory.
After the match, Kane surprisingly emerged up through the ring to attack Ryder, then tried to suffocate Cena.
The Big Red Monster nearly pulled the United States Champion down through the hole in the ring, but failed when Cena pulled his friend out of the abyss. Before Cena could get his hands on Kane, a monstrous burst of fire erupted from the hole in the ring, allowing The Big Red Machine to escape.
