WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: 11/30/2012

Cena's return to Friday night had a definite impact on Del Rio

BOSSIER CITY, La. — With WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs just 16 days away, Sheamus battled Dolph Ziggler in a titanic main event on Friday Night SmackDown. But when the action took a massive turn with the emergence of World Heavyweight Champion Big Show, John Cena stormed the ring to even the odds for The Celtic Warrior.

With the “AJ scandal” hotter than ever following the ex–Raw General Manager’s involvement in a one-on-one match between John Cena and Dolph Ziggler Monday night, the Cenation leader made a rare appearance on the SmackDown stage with a pointed message to The Showoff.

Coming off their epic one-on-one battle, Cena didn’t hold back, calling Ziggler “a man whose greatest accomplishment is being World Heavyweight Champion for two minutes.” Then, claiming The Showoff “hides behind the power of Vickie Guererro,” Cena turned Ziggler’s recent criticisms of the 10-time WWE Champion around, and pointed the finger directly at Mr. Money in the Bank. And with Ziggler scheduled to face Sheamus in the night’s main event, Cena assured the WWE Universe it would be more of a fight than a match.

But Cena’s impassioned monologue was cut short by the sudden interruption of Alberto Del Rio, who told him he shouldn’t worry about Ziggler — he should instead worry about The Mexican Aristocrat. Claiming SmackDown is “his show,” Del Rio told Cena to leave “his ring.”

The Cenation leader answered with a fist to Del Rio’s face, after telling the affluent Superstar that, since he’s already here, he may as well have a match — and it’ll be against Del Rio!

John Cena def. Alberto Del Rio

It was a rivalry renewed, as John Cena battled Alberto Del Rio in an enormous Friday night opening act. With Dolph Ziggler looking on in the back, it was all Del Rio early on in the ring, as The Mexican Aristocrat mocked Cena’s trademark “you can’t see me” hand gesture. Despite the skill and ruthlessness of his opponent, however, Cena turned the tables on Del Rio — setting the stage for a fierce showdown.

In the final moments of the very physical encounter between the two former World Champions, Cena found himself tied up and hanging upside down in the corner. Del Rio seized his opportunity and charged his adversary. Cena dodged at the last second, though, causing Del Rio to eat the steel ring post. Cena connected with a big leg drop off the top rope, covering The Mexican Aristocrat to rack up an impressive blue brand victory.

As Cena celebrated at the top of the ramp, Dolph Ziggler emerged from backstage to ambush the Cenation leader, clocking him from behind with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Stealing the show, indeed.

Later, with a clearly irate Cena pleading his case about Ziggler’s sneak attack, SmackDown General Manager Booker T told the Cenation leader, “I don’t need my show breaking down tonight.” The five-time WCW Champion went on to ask Cena to let the night’s main event — Sheamus vs. Ziggler — go on uninterrupted. Citing the fact he and Booker go back a long way, Cena agreed not to interfere.

Sheamus def. Dolph Ziggler by Disqualification

In an interview with Matt Striker prior to his match, Sheamus said with fire in his eyes, “As far as I’m concerned, I’m not even facing Dolph Ziggler tonight. … Every opponent I’ve been in the ring with, to me, has looked like Big Show.” Seeing The World’s Largest Athlete at every turn, Sheamus seemed primed and ready for a fight.

And The Celtic Warrior made it clear — that is very bad news for The Showoff.

With his Monday night loss to John Cena still sticking in his craw, Ziggler was asked if he has something to prove. In typical fashion, Mr. Money in the Bank deflected the question, and instead spouted off about how Cena is not to be trusted, going so far as to call the Cenation leader the “biggest liar in the history of WWE.”

The Showoff then responded to Sheamus’ comments from earlier in the night, saying The Celtic Warrior won’t be looking at Big Show when they face each other in the main event. Instead, he’ll be looking at the next World Champion.

With his World Title Match against Big Show at WWE TLC just more than two weeks away, Sheamus squared off against Ziggler in a show-stealing main event on SmackDown.

Looking to cap off a busy night, Ziggler was determined to recapture the highs of last week — one of the most impressive seven-day spans in WWE history, which included being the sole survivor in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match.

But The Celtic Warrior is always up for a fight, at one point hurling Ziggler into the barricade at ringside. For his part, Ziggler matched the brute-force physicality of the fiery Superstar, and the two engaged in a blockbuster back-and-forth battle that brought the WWE Universe in attendance to the edge of their seats. As the action ramped up, Sheamus came up empty with a Brogue Kick attempt, and Ziggler planted his opponent with a monstrous, leaping DDT. But as he’s shown time and again, Sheamus simply doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit, and refused to stay down.

When Sheamus locked Ziggler in the Texas Cloverleaf, it appeared as though the end was near. But at that moment, Big Show suddenly emerged from backstage and ran down to the ring, causing Sheamus to release The Showoff and the referee to call for a disqualification. Big Show and Ziggler proceeded to team up against Sheamus, but Cena came to the rescue, nailing Ziggler with an AA before he and Sheamus combined to take down The World’s Largest Athlete with a double supplex.

True to his word, Cena didn’t interject himself into the situation until after the bell rung, and his timing couldn’t have been better. An angry giant was left seething outside the ring Friday night, but come WWE TLC, will Big Show once again enjoy the last laugh over Sheamus?

WWE MAIN EVENT RESULTS: 11/28/2012

WWE MAIN EVENT RESULTS: 11/28/2012

in Bossier City, La. — John Cena made his WWE Main Event debut and battled Damien Sandow in a hard-fought battle that kept the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats. Also, U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro squared off with Zack Ryder and a huge Champion vs. Champion Match was set for next week!
John Cena def. Damien Sandow.

John Cena made his highly anticipated debut on WWE Main Event, battling one of WWE’s brightest young stars, Damien Sandow. The Intellectual Savior of the Masses was presented with a simple yet huge opportunity: defeat John Cena on national television. Before the contest, Sandow addressed the WWE Universe, claiming Cena was a “false idol.” Unfortunately for Sandow, his words only fired up the Cenation leader, who was undoubtedly ready for a fast-paced and competitive contest.

The WWE Universe was firmly in Cena’s corner as soon as the match got underway and Sandow was visibly frustrated with an early grapple that gave “The Bastion of Bravery” his first test with the 10-time WWE Champion. The Cenation leader kept Sandow on the defensive, frustrating the scholarly Superstar to the point of walking away from the match. Cena had other plans and chased after his opponent, throwing him back into the ring and mounting an impressive offense.

Sandow managed to turn the tables with a powerful kick to the sternum that sent Cena reeling. The young competitor wisely kept the pressure on the Cenation leader, building momentum against his experienced opponent. With the contest swinging in his favor, Sandow used the opportunity to show off the impressive in-ring skills he learned from the legendary Killer Kowalski. The Intellectual Savior was relentless in his efforts — each time Cena tried to fight back, Sandow managed to keep him at bay.

“The Duke of Decency” kept his momentum until colliding with his opponent in the middle of the ring. As the two ring warriors struggled to their feet, they exchanged blows — going toe-to-toe in the center of the squared circle. Though Cena got the better of the interchange, Sandow impressively managed to keep his hopes alive, tangling his opponent in the ropes.

With Cena struggling to break free from the rope, Sandow delivered punishing punches and kicks — though he took plenty of time to taunt Cena and the WWE Universe. As The Intellectual Savior of the Masses goaded the audience, Cena broke free and tackled his adversary. The Cenation leader was fired up as the excitement in the Century Link Center built, but Sandow regained control by tossing Cena into the steel steps.

Once again in control of the match, Sandow displayed his confidence by taunting Cena. Giving the 10-time WWE Champion a chance to catch his breath was foolish on Sandow’s part as Cena built momentum and prepared to deliver an Attitude Adjustment. Yet once more, “The Czar of Sophistication” showed his own resilience and countered, seemingly keeping the contest in his favor.

As Sandow continued his attempt to secure the biggest win of his career, Cena overpowered him, tossed him face first to the mat and applied the STF. The Intellectual Savior of the Masses immediately tapped out, giving Cena a hard-fought victory and allowing the Cenation leader to focus once more on Dolph Ziggler.

WWE: Do John Cena's relationships leave him the most vulnerable?

Posted on 22:44 by Unknown

WWE: Do John Cena's relationships leave him the most vulnerable?

John Cena rests alone atop the mountain of WWE, a Superstar who has made himself indestructible by virtue of – if nothing else – his self-imposed isolation. Superman needed a whole hideout to achieve seclusion, but for all his jolly camaraderie with the WWE Universe, Cena is a Fortress of Solitude unto himself. He has no allies, no attachments, no baggage and, as a result, very few losses to his name in both wrestling matches and personal rivalries. The only way to defeat Cena is to beat him straight up, and that is a task few Superstars find themselves equal to.

Now, when Cena gets himself a friend or his family members become targets? That’s when the problems start for the big guy.

Because he is so difficult to topple on his own, Superstars looking to unman the Cenation leader will often turn toward those who are counted as his friends and family. It’s a rare occurrence for Cena to form a lasting attachment, exactly because of the consequences that tend to unfold when he does. Palling around with the former WWE Champion might as well be a death sentence. In each instance, Cena’s opponents have targeted those he cares about to weaken him either emotionally or physically, and each time it has worked like gangbusters.

Consider the evidence: earlier this very year, Cena’s best Broski Zack Ryder found himself nearly consigned to the fires of hell itself when Kane attempted to drag Long Island Iced-Z into oblivion in an effort to force Cena into embracing his inner dark side. Of course, The Big Red Machine settled for relegating the Internet Champion to a back brace and a wheelchair, chokeslamming him off a loading dock and through the stage. Shortly thereafter, Kane sent the wheelchair-bound Ryder tumbling off the entrance ramp and onto the arena floor. It wasn’t quite hell, but it was bad enough, and it forced Cena into enough of an existential funk that he inadvertently stole Eve from Ryder, who had been attempting to woo (woo woo) her for months on end. It almost didn’t matter that Cena bested Kane in the end; his personal life was left in shambles when all was said and done. And The Devil’s Favorite Demon didn’t even have to lay a finger on him to do it.

Even familial ties are a source of weakness for Cena, so it’s always a tense couple of hours when the Cenation leader’s father decides to stop by. In 2006, Edge furthered his vendetta against Cena by invading his childhood home and slapping papa John across the face, leading Cena to attack The Ultimate Opportunist during his match against Carlito. Randy Orton followed the same blueprint a few years later when he hauled Cena’s pops over the barricade and booted him in the head, creating a less than fabulous family moment for his son.
And now, of course, we have AJ Lee.

The “are they or aren’t they” debate surrounding Cena and the former Raw GM seems, for all intents and purposes, to be settled at this point. They “are,” even if they weren’t before. And yet again, Cena finds himself with an enemy – Dolph Ziggler – who is using John’s connection with another person to hit the Cenation leader where it hurts the hardest: his heart. The Showoff’s snarky game plan has already led to a bum knee for Cena after he attempted to save AJ from Ziggler and was driven through a row of bathroom stalls as a result. It hasn’t translated to in-ring losses yet, but to Cena’s credit, he does seem to see the writing on the wall this time around.

“I will do my best to keep my personal life ... personal,” Cena said on Twitter, intimating his focus would be firmly on Ziggler and then whatever came next.

For his sake (not to mention AJ’s), we hope he does.

WWE Monday Night RAW Results: 11/26/2012

Posted on 22:50 by Unknown
WWE Monday Night RAW Results: 11/26/2012
in LAFAYETTE, La.

John Cena addressed the WWE Universe

With a bum knee and no shortage of aches and pains after being put through a bathroom wall by Dolph Ziggler, John Cena stood before a WWE Universe hungry for answers following his shocking, scandalous lip-lock with AJ Lee last week on Raw. What did he have in store?

Well for starters, he planned to address the most prevalent question of them all: Is AJ a good kisser?

Unfortunately, the WWE Universe was denied that particular nugget of truth when Vickie Guerrero came a-callin' again, cutting Cena off mid-address and presenting him with a gift in time for the holiday season: matching his & hers robes for Cena and AJ. While Cena stewed in the ring, Vickie rattled off AJ's somewhat troubling romantic history throughout 2012, capping off her argument with the chestnut that the satisfaction of exposing a potential affair between the two would be nothing compared to her satisfaction in watching the two unravel like the rest of AJ's relationships had.

But before Vickie could really get going, AJ made her presence known and did something truly shocking: She agreed with the Managing Supervisor. There was no point denying her flings with Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and Kane ended less than favorably, but AJ chose to use those incidents as learning experiences. And besides, Vickie's allegations were all about proving AJ and Cena hooked up while she was Raw General Manager. Since she was not GM anymore, AJ was free to pursue any relationship she wanted. But just when it looked like the WWE Universe was about to get The Kiss: Round Two, Vickie called a stop to the shenanigans and Dolph Ziggler strutted onto the stage to add his two cents.

Never one to mince words, The Showoff sneered from his perch atop the ramp. What really got Cena riled up enough to "cheap shot" him on SmackDown was because he knew, in his heart of hearts, that when AJ was locking lips with Cena, she had visions of Ziggler dancing through her head. The insult was enough to get Cena to bite, but Vickie wouldn't allow any more fighting in bathrooms or on stages. What she would allow, though, was a one-on-one contest: Cena vs. Ziggler, in the Cajundome, with the argument settled once and for all.

John Cena def. Dolph Ziggler

The time for sneak attacks and trash talk ended about halfway through Raw in the Cajundome when, following an increasingly heated back-and-forth, John Cena finally got himself a one-on-one match against Dolph Ziggler, courtesy of Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero.

Competing with a slight tear in his meniscus, Cena showed no signs of hesitance when he took it to Mr. Money in the Bank early on, sending Ziggler airborne with a series of hiptosses and headlocks, leaving The Showoff scrambling for separation only moments after the opening bell.

He found it after absorbing a painful-looking opening surge from Cena, planting the Cenation leader long enough for Ziggler to rally and potentially catch his second wind.

And boy, did he ever.

Ziggler surged back fast and furious against Cena, taking the fight outside the ring and hauling the 10-time WWE Champion into the steel steps before decking him with a clothesline and dropping elbows upon elbows on the prone sternum of the Cenation leader. Cena looked to turn the tide when he unleashed his signature shoulder blocks against Ziggler, but The Showoff stopped Cena in his tracks, thwarting the Five Knuckle Shuffle and executing a leaping DDT that left Cena splattered across the mat.

Dolph ultimately went for finesse over flash in his final attempt to put Cena away, leaping atop his opponent's back and locking in a sleeper hold that nearly put Cena to bed. The Cenation Commander-in-Chief countered with an STF, but Ziggler was able to reach the ropes and made Cena pay with a resounding dropkick to the face. Ziggler gave the WWE Universe its highlight-reel moment when he squirmed mid-fall out of the Attitude Adjustment and hit Cena with the Zig Zag. The Cenation leader managed a last-minute escape, though, before the referee could count him down.

But as straightforward and competitive as it was, the match's conclusion was nearly as bizarre as its origins. First, Cena seemed to aggravate his knee injury while attempting the Five Knuckle Shuffle. While officials attended to Cena, Ziggler attempted to tamper with the ring post and expose the bare steel of the turnbuckle, but AJ Lee quickly sprinted to the ring and cut Dolph's nefarious scheme short. This brought out Vickie Guerrero, who drew the ire of AJ and the attention of the referee to boot. With everyone distracted, Ziggler made his move and attempted to smash Cena with his Money in the Bank briefcase, but the injured Cena was ready for the cheap shot, dodging Ziggler's strike and finally executing the AA to silence The Showoff.

And then, of course, he kissed AJ again. Honestly, after a hard-fought win like that, who can blame him?

Ranking for Power 25: November 24, 2012

Last Weeks Rank: #5
 This Weeks Rank: #5

It’s no wonder that John Cena missed his chance to seize the WWE Title from CM Punk at Survivor Series. On the one hand, he still can’t seem to stop The Straight Edge Superstar’s momentum. On the other hand, locking lips with AJ Lee on Raw showed that the Cenation leader’s attention may lie elsewhere.

THE 50 MOST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE IN SPORTS-ENTERTAINMENT HISTORY

#35 John Cena
It’s easy to see why John Cena became the face of WWE. The cleanest of the clean cut, the former bodybuilder came running into WWE with his high and tight military haircut, cast-iron jaw and sudden smile and emerged as a sex symbol, a public relations juggernaut and an all-American icon. Love him or hate him, it’s hard to ignore the piercing female shriek that tears through arenas whenever the Cenation leader pulls his shirt off. Come to think of it, maybe that’s why all those 20-something males in the WWE Universe can’t stop booing the guy. — R.M.

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: 11/23/2012

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: 11/23/2012

in GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In the wake of Survivor Series and an extremely turbulent Raw, Dolph Ziggler capped off his incredible week with a victory over The Viper, only to feel the excruciating sting of John Cena’s retribution. Meanwhile, World Heavyweight Champion Big Show battled WWE Tag Team Champions Hell No, and Kofi Kingston put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Damien Sandow.

“Miz TV” with special guest John Cena

Four days after shocking the WWE Universe on Raw by making out with AJ Lee – and getting blasted through a locker room bathroom stall by Dolph Ziggler – John Cena joined The Miz on the “Most Must-See Talk Show in WWE History,” “Miz TV.”

The Awesome One wasted no time asking Cena the first of many “tough questions”: What’s the status of his injured knee? In response, The Leader of the Cenation repeated the MRI results he posted on Twitter, making it clear he can still compete in WWE.

Miz then asked about the kiss with AJ on Monday night. Cena explained that he was sick and tired of all the speculation and decided to just do something about it

When AJ joined them in the ring and Miz asked if Cena was in love with her, the answer was cut off by Ziggler and Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, respectively. Mr. Money in the Bank called AJ “trouble” and gloated about his assault on Cena, while Vickie suggested AJ needed to control her impulses.

While a tense moment occurred between the intruding pair when The Showoff explained what would happen if he kissed AJ, in the end, Cena’s insult at both their expense stole the spotlight.

At Survivor Series, Dolph Ziggler defeated Randy Orton to become the sole survivor of Team Ziggler in the Traditional Tag Team Elimination Match. As a result, the two intense Superstars would face off one-on-one on SmackDown.

In the face of an aggressive offense by The Viper, and the brutal back and forth war waged by both Superstars, in the end it would be The Showoff who would prevail. As Orton went for the RKO, Ziggler turned the tables, rolling up WWE’s Apex Predator for the quick three-count.

With his SmackDown victory, Dolph capped off an incredible week: He was the sole survivor at Survivor Series, took out John Cena on Raw, overcame The Miz on WWE Main Event and reigned supreme over nine-time World Champion Orton.

As the smoke cleared, Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez made their way to the ring. But at the last second, The Mexican Aristocrat backed off, allowing his personal ring announcer the leap into the squared circle alone and get blasted with the RKO.

Then, as Del Rio and Orton stared down, John Cena suddenly emerged, locking the victorious Ziggler into the STF on the ramp, making his bleach-blond adversary writhe in pain.

John Cena will be on SMACKDOWN 11/23/2012

John Cena will be on SMACKDOWN 11/23/2012

What will John Cena say on “Miz TV”?

After giving the WWE Universe something to talk about on Raw – from kissing AJ Lee and to getting knocked through a locker room stall by Dolph Ziggler – John Cena will head to the blue brand to be a guest on “Miz TV.” With the “AJ scandal” still swirling thanks to Cena’s Monday night lip-locking incident (actually, make that incidents) with the former Raw General Manager and the physical altercation that followed with The Showoff, everyone wants to know: What will the Cenation leader say to The Awesome One Friday night?

Will Cena reveal more about where things stand with AJ on the blue brand? Will he give the WWE Universe something else to talk about? Will the fans learn more about his knee injury, suffered at the hands of Mr. Money in the Bank? And, since it is “Miz TV,” and The Awesome One’s show has a tendency to devolve into chaos, will the set make through the night?

Considering the roll that Ziggler has been on this week, it is also possible that he might once again seek out and attack the Cenation leader.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS: 11/19/2012

Posted on 23:15 by Unknown
WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS: 11/19/2012 in Dayton, Ohio

Vickie Guerrero presented "eyewitnesses" to the "AJ scandal"

Did Vickie Guerrero finally push AJ Lee and John Cena to their limits? In her latest attempt to expose the so-called "AJ scandal," the Managing Supervisor brought out her greatest evidence: a pair of eyewitnesses who laid eyes on the supposed fling and came forth on Raw to present their accounts. Vickie summoned a waitress and a parking attendant from the Sacramento, Calif., restaurant where Cena and AJ had their alleged tryst, but AJ wasn't about to let herself be slandered any more than she already had been.

"If you want to fire me, go ahead and do it," the former Raw General Manager hissed at her replacement, only one night after Tamina Snuka interrupted their previous confontation with a sneak attack on AJ . "But if not, I suggest you do everybody a favor and shut the hell up."

The insult did little to faze Vickie, who took the proceedings one step further and prepared to display photos of AJ and Cena in the parking lot. "If you take offense to nudity, I suggest you walk out and protect your little ones' eyes, because now I'm going to present a photo of John Cena and AJ in the car!" Vickie beamed, but what emerged instead was nothing more than a stewing, stomping and decidedly clothed Cena.

"All of this is garbage," Cena said simply, accusing Vickie of manufacturing the scandal simply to get tongues wagging. Happily, he had a solution to that problem.

"I'll give you something to talk about," Cena said before turning toward AJ. "I hope you don't mind," said the Cenation leader before pulling AJ in for a tender kiss in the middle of the ring. But he never got to finish his point, because after Cena broke the lip-lock and turned back to Vickie to finish his thought, AJ spun him around and leaped into the 10-time WWE Champion's arms, swarming him with a smooch that left Vickie speechless.

With Cena otherwise preoccupied, however, the door was wide open for a sneak attack and that's just what happened: Dolph Ziggler sprinted forth and hit the Cenation leader with a cheap shot, squirming out of the Attitude Adjustment and booking it up the ramp to the locker room area. Cena gave chase, but an awkward landing after diving through the ropes seemed to hobble him considerably. Cena pursued Dolph as best he could, but with one leg seemingly compromised, the "AJ scandal" may have left him damaged in a way no one ever expected.

John Cena and Dolph Ziggler battled in the men's locker room

She may be 95 pounds soaking wet, but AJ Lee proved she had plenty of guts when she stormed into the men's locker room to confront Dolph Ziggler after The Showoff's sneak attack on John Cena. But before AJ could lace into Mr. Money in the Bank, Ziggler retaliated with a string of vicious insults that shook the former Raw General Manager to her core. "I've seen girls like you my whole life," Ziggler sneered. "You're all the same. Sad, weak, pathetic. Face it, AJ. You're just trash."

The insults left AJ speechless, but happily one other option remained: She decided to fight, raining blows down on Ziggler's head and leaving The Showoff stumbling ... until Cena made his entrance, injured knee and all, and proceeded to tear the locker room apart with an all-out brawl. And while Cena saved AJ further humiliation, he may have come out worse for wear: After Ziggler put Cena through the bathroom stalls (yes, all of them), The Showoff got the last word by stomping Cena's injured knee as Superstars and officials dragged him out the door, leaving the Cenation leader with a potentially torn meniscus.

WWE Pay-Per-View Survivor Series 2012 Results

WWE Champion CM Punk def. John Cena and Ryback (Triple Threat Match)

Sneaking away with a victory over John Cena and Ryback in a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series, the WWE Champion continued his extraordinary, and now yearlong, title reign by the very skin of his teeth. And yet, things may have turned out very differently had it not been for the outside involvement of three individuals who aided The Straight Edge Savior when he needed it most.

Targeting the mighty Ryback in the closing moments of this brutal battle, WWE NXT competitors Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns attacked the powerful competitor like rabid dogs before smashing him through an announce table — the second one Ryback crashed through that night. flagrant assault allowed the WWE Champion to pin a downed Cena, and raised endless questions about their involvement in the main event that remain unanswered.

One thing is certain, though: Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns changed the course of WWE history at Survivor Series.

The involvement of three WWE NXT competitors may have allowed CM Punk to leave Indianapolis with his precious WWE Title still in his sweaty grasp, but he will be feeling the effects of this Triple Threat Match for quite some time. Showing unabashed cowardice from the opening bell, the WWE Champion attempted to flee his powerful challengers, but ended up running into the brick wall that is Ryback.

The WWE Universe had been desperate to see a showdown between the explosive Ryback and the Cenation leader. When the two behemoths finally locked up, it had all the epic intensity of the night Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior challenged each other for the very first time. The human wrecking ball proved he could take Cena’s best shot when he stood right back up after being slammed to the mat by the former WWE Champion. But the sight of Ryback being rendered helpless in the powerful grasp of Cena’s STF perfectly illustrated the power of the Cenation leader.

Still, each time these heavy hitters got into a heated confrontation, the slimy Punk would worm his way into the fray in a desperate attempt to steal a pinfall and take off with his title. For CM Punk, the name of tonight’s event was quite literal. It was all about survival for The Straight Edge Savior, and every second that ticked away on the clock took him further away from that goal.

As is always the case with Triple Threat Matches, allegiances were formed and broken in the blink of an eye. In a moment no one in the WWE Universe expected to see, Punk and Cena worked together to suplex Ryback through an announce table and halt the onslaught of the destructive monster. There was no love lost between the bitter rivals, but taking the wrecking ball out of the equation was a bit of brilliance on the part of the veteran grapplers.

Now facing off one-on-one, Punk and Cena demonstrated their knowledge of each other’s arsenal. When Cena scored with a resounding Attitude Adjustment, the WWE Champion responded just as quickly with the Go to Sleep. Taking the best the other had to offer, the longtime opponents were nearly at a stalemate before Ryback came back to life like the monster in a horror movie.

Dismantling his opponents, Ryback Shell Shocked both Cena and Punk before three men dressed all in black hit the ring and attacked the human wrecking ball with unbridled intensity. Name checked by Michael Cole as WWE development system NXT’s Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, the three young competitors slammed Ryback through the Spanish announce table before escaping through the crowd.

Back in the ring, a groggy Punk threw himself on top of the Shell Shocked Cena to score the pin. The moment echoed the conclusion of October’s WWE Hell in a Cell, when The Straight Edge Savior received an unexpected hand from rogue referee Brad Maddox. Much like that night, Punk was granted another night as WWE Champion, thanks to Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns Sunday night. Whether The Voice of the Voiceless has any association with these men remains unclear.

It was 364 days ago, at Survivor Series 2011, that Punk began his historic WWE Title reign by defeating Alberto Del Rio in Madison Square Garden. On that night, The Straight Edge Savior leaped into the audience with his championship to celebrate with the WWE fans who had overwhelmingly embraced him. Tonight, Punk limped to the back alongside his noxious associate Paul Heyman while the crowd in Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse booed him relentlessly. What a difference a year

"The Cenation leader bursts back into the top five this week as he prepares to face off against WWE Champion CM Punk and the monstrous Ryback in a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series. Can Cena ride the momentum of Monday night? Was Cena’s victory over The Second City Saint a sign of things to come? The WWE Universe will just have to wait until Sunday to find out."

John Cena's charitable act, Surprises a boy at his elementary school

Posted on 22:50 by Unknown

John Cena's charitable act. He surprises a  9 year old boy who has cerebral palsy at his elementary school

WATCH VIDEO BELOW:

...............................
DADE CITY — Gary Patterson was still breaking in his state-of-the-art wheelchair — complete with power controls, a high-tech cushioned seat and stickers of his idol, wrestling superstar John Cena — when Cena's theme song began blaring over the cafeteria speakers.

Gary's classmates at Centennial Elementary School started screaming. "John Cena! John Cena!" wailed one child, as Cena himself crept across the room, his index finger pressed to his lips, to surprise Gary.

Gary's face lit up with astonishment and joy. The 9-year-old with cerebral palsy had already received a $32,000 custom power wheelchair on Tuesday from a generous foundation. How could the day get any better?

"He is so awesome!" Gary said as he gushed over Cena's surprise visit.

The donation of the wheelchair and Cena's visit were coordinated by Jillian Kornick, Gary's teacher and ESE instructor at Centennial Elementary. Through the three years that Kornick has taught Gary, she has come to hear and share all of the Trilby boy's dreams for the future.

"He says he wants to walk across the stage at his high school graduation ceremony," she said. "Here we want to do all we can to help him make that happen."

But the fourth-grader sorely needed a new wheelchair.

"His wheelchair was a manually operated model, 4 years old with a worn seat and patched with duct tape in some places," Kornick said. "It was time for a new one."

Medicaid denied his claim for a new chair, though. So the Shriner's Hospital, which provides treatments for Gary, steered Kornick to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, which supports people dealing with paralysis. The nonprofit hosts a wheelchair donation program that provides customized power wheelchairs to those facing medical and financial hardships.

"This chair is built in a way that will help him improve his circulation, and the $5,000 seat is cushioned to prevent bedsores," said Ryan Rogers, marketing and communications director for the foundation. Rogers, along with several other foundation officials and representatives of wheelchair retailer DMR, which provided Gary's new chair, were on hand for Tuesday's assembly. "He'll be more comfortable, and will be able to recline his head to watch TV or use the computer. Everything will be easier."

Using the power controls, Gary can tilt and incline the new chair much like a recliner. A special headpiece on top allows him to drive the chair forward and maneuver its motion. He also can push a button that allows him to increase his speed — though Kornick and teacher Patsy Little both have asked that he not push this button at school. "Now I can drive myself," Gary said. "I can go where I want to go."

Kornick also made sure the chair came with a built-in model of a heavyweight title belt, and she arranged through mutual friends for Cena to appear.

"I'm always excited to appear at events like this, to be there for kids who face obstacles," said Cena, who posed for photos afterward.

Gary thanked Kornick for "the best chair ever," and also thanked his aunt and uncle Betty and Rick Conley, with whom he lives, and his mom, Sally Simmonds.

"He and I made a deal today that we weren't going to cry," Kornick said, blinking back tears as she offered a smile. "Somehow, though, I don't think I'll be able to keep my side of the bargain."

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS: 11/12/2012

Vickie Guerrero presented audio evidence of the "AJ scandal"

They say the truth will set you free, so who was left liberated when Vickie Guerrero finally convinced AJ Lee to give her side of the "AJ scandal"?

Well, that's a complicated question to answer. You see, while Vickie (and Dolph Ziggler, who remained in the ring for moral support) seemed to be scraping the bottom of the barrel in their supposed evidence against AJ and the Cenation leader. What transpired on Monday seemed to turn the tide, stunningly enough, back in their favor.

For one, Vickie finally got AJ to tell her side of the story, and from the get-go, the former Raw General Manager seemed uncommonly on-edge when addressing the scandal. "I admit it!" AJ barked after Vickie's needling reached its breaking point, although her follow-up managed to leave Vickie somewhat at a loss for words. "John Cena and I ... are just friends."

With Vickie reeling, AJ attempted to get to the bottom of the Managing Supervisor's slanderous efforts: lingering embarrassment over Mr. McMahon's appointment of AJ as Raw GM at Raw 1,000, compounded by AJ's previous humiliation of Vickie and, of course, the ever-present threat of yet another beatdown at AJ's hands.

But while a picture is supposedly worth a thousand words, what Vickie had in store for the former Raw GM seemed to unnerve her more than any security footage ever could: audio evidence.

"What happened last night was a mistake," boomed a supposed voicemail from AJ after Vickie cued it up over the TitanTron loudspeakers. "I want to stop ... but ... when I see you ... I lose control," purred another, leaving AJ genuinely baffled over the origins of the messages. The voice was, indeed, hers, but the messages, she swore, were doctored. She immediately called into question how Vickie got her hands on them.

Never one to pass up the opportunity to insult someone, Ziggler interjected himself here. "What's more embarrassing?" The Showoff sneered. "The fact that John won't talk to you anymore, or all those nights in his hotel room?"

Cue the trumpets and the M.O.P. sample, because this latest insult brought out Cena, who stomped down to AJ's rescue, but found his services somewhat unwarranted: Vickie stopped the Cenation leader from decking Ziggler ... and proceeded to do the honors herself, flooring Mr. Money in the Bank with a slap to the face before finally allowing Cena to eject the shamed Showoff from the ring.

John Cena def. WWE Champion CM Punk

Nearly two months after their last meeting, CM Punk's epic conflict with John Cena resumed in the confines of Nationwide Arena, with Mick Foley patrolling the outside as the Special Guest Enforcer. And despite Punk's hesitance to mix it up with Cena, the 10-time WWE Champion notched a strong victory over the incumbent titleholder when Foley prevented The Second City Saint from abandoning the contest.

Forced to fight his way out of the predicament, however, Punk responded with gusto despite his efforts to vacate the bout. The Voice of the Voiceless' technical expertise nearly swung the contest after Punk locked Cena in a vise-like sleeper hold, but Cena managed to power out and create separation by slamming Punk into the turnbuckle. Punk briefly abandoned mat wrestling for brute force when he exchanged a barrage of kicks and punches against the Cenation leader. But blunt force is where Cena lives, and the 10-time WWE Champion countered strongly with his signature shoulderblocks.

Punk was not about to take Cena's moves lying down, though, and sprang a surprise counter to leave Cena prone for the flying elbow. Cena dodged the airborne strike and landed a Five-Knuckle Shuffle, but Punk again countered, writhing out of the Attitude Adjustment and stunning Cena with a kick to the face before locking him up in the Koji Clutch. Cena broke the hold by reaching the ropes. The maneuver appeared to have taken its toll on him, but as always, Cena would not be counted out so fast. He countered Punk's springboard clothesline into the STF and, after Foley foiled Paul Heyman's attempt to break the hold, locked Punk in the maneuver again until the champion made his way to the ropes.

Having had enough, Punk attempted again to leave, but was met by Ryback halfway up the ramp and scrambled reluctantly back to the ring. Cena, however, was lying in wait and pounded Punk with the Attitude Adjustment to pin the champion. Cena's jubilation was ultimately short-lived as he found himself face to face again with Ryback. Each man grabbed hold of Punk's precious title, laying claim to The Second City Saint's prize while Punk himself withered in dread, the elusive yearlong mark never closer and yet, somehow, never quite so far away.
