WWE Monday Night RAW Results: 5/7/2012 and After RAW went off air!

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS
5/7/2012
in GREENSBORO, N.C.

John Cena appeared live via satellite from Tampa, Fla., where The Cenation Leader is rehabbing his arm injury. Cena said a group of doctors have strongly recommended he not compete for the next couple of months. However, he's ignoring their advice and fully plans to clash with John Laurinaitis at WWE Over the Limit.

The Cenation Leader claimed that the Board of Directors wanted to fine the General Manager, but he told them to forgo any disciplinary action because the only fitting punishment for Laurinaitis is to get beaten and embarrassed at Over the Limit.

AFTER RAW WENT OFF AIR:
John Cena magically made it all the way to Raw in Greensboro from Tampa after his "interview" in order to work the dark match. He defeated Kane with the Attitude Adjustment to close out the taping. Big pop for Cena.

Rankings for Power 25: May 5, 2012

Rankings for Power 25: May 5, 2012
Last Weeks Rank: #6
This Weeks Rank: #1

Congrats Cena for making the number one rank this week!

"John Cena may have looked the worse for wear after his classic battle against a ferocious Brock Lesnar Sunday night at WWE Extreme Rules, but at the end of the night, the Cenation Leader came away with one of the most impressive wins in WWE history.
Bloodied and battered, Cena dug deep and somehow managed to overcome Lesnar’s dominance in what was unquestionably one of the most brutal matches the WWE Universe has ever witnessed. It is the toughness and heart displayed by Cena that catapults him to the No. 1 spot this week — an honor that the Cenation Commander-in-Chief absolutely deserves."

John Cena Talks Miz in Marine 3

John Cena Talks Miz in Marine 3

Less than a week out from his brutal match with Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules, I had a chance to talk briefly with John Cena about WWE storylines that make it seem like he's going to take some time off and the casting of The Miz as the lead in the upcoming third installment of the Marine movie franchise

After his match with Lesnar last Sunday, and even a few years back during the Nexus storyline, it seemed like Cena was headed home for a break. But those breaks never happened and he was seen on TV the very next night or week. Is "the road" Cena's permanent home? "Yes," Cena said, "and I'm okay with that. It's certainly not a life for most people, and so when people look at you they think 'Well, how can he do that?' But if you commit to it and say this is where I am, then you can do it. And I'm just one of those folks that belongs on the road. It's where I truly feel safe. It's where I want to be. When I'm home I can only be there so long before I want to head back out. So that's me right now. As I get older I'm sure I'll want to slow down, but right now I wouldn't want to be in any other place." Cena also said that, while he never gets to spend a lot of time in the cities he visits, he prefers it that way. He likes the "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants style."

"A guy had asked me today if I was interested in doing things like Expendables 2 and movies like that," Cena continued. "More action moves. And I said that it really comes down to how many tour dates I'd have to sacrifice. It would be really cool to make a lot more movies, but when they say you have to take six months off and miss all those events? That doesn't work for me. I really like being in, say, Huntsville tomorrow night. And then Knoxville after that. And then Chattanooga. Then Raleigh. It's how I plan my life now. I guess Red from Shawshank would say I'm institutionalized."

With Randy Orton dropping out of the third Marine film due to controversy, the WWE turned to The Miz to take over the lead role. I asked Cena what he thought of the casting. "You know what? I think it's going to be great," he said. "The franchise stands alone. I actually thought Ted DiBiase did a really good job in Marine 2. I know it was a straight to DVD movie but I thought, with their budget, they did as good, if not better, than what we did in the first Marine. And their budget was maybe twenty percent of ours. So I'm actually looking forward to seeing what Miz brings. You know Teddy was really good and being that subtle, All-American dude who, when it was called for, could blow everything up. Miz is not very subtle. So I'm actually very interested to see how it all works out."

WWE: One year later: John Cena reflects on announcing bin Laden’s demise

One year later: Cena reflects on announcing bin Laden’s demise

On May 1, 2011, John Cena regained the WWE Championship a Triple Threat Steel Cage Match at Extreme Rules – a victory that marked the beginning of his 10th title reign, also making him part of WWE history as one of a handful of Superstars who have had double-digit World Title reigns. But that same night, Cena turned a celebration into an announcement that became part of American history.
During the contest one year ago, news agencies were stirring and word was getting out about one of the most significant moments in recent U.S. history, and certainly the most important in America’s War on Terror.

An elite team of U.S. Navy SEALs entered a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, and put an end to Osama bin Laden’s reign of terror. Moments after winning the WWE Title, John Cena was informed of the news and immediately felt compelled to tell the WWE Universe in attendance what he had just learned.

“I actually found out when a cameraman whispered it to me,” Cena recalled. “I wanted to tell people and I remember running around to other cameramen and the guys at ringside trying to confirm it. The last thing I wanted to do was announce something that didn’t happen.”

As Cena raced to make sure what he had been told was true, the American people were already anxiously awaiting a rare Sunday evening address from President Obama. At the same time, the news spread on social media outlets, and various news agencies began to confirm the demise of the most wanted man in the world.

“The only thing I felt in that moment was the need to tell everyone in the arena, because as an American it was the right thing to do,” Cena explained. “I realize a lot of people heard it for the first time from me, but I’d like to think that if anyone had been in my shoes, they would have done the same exact thing.”

Just as chants of “U.S.A.” erupted at baseball stadiums as the story broke, Cena’s proclamation of the news coming out of Abbottabad yielded a historic demonstration of patriotism in WWE.

“The announcement pretty much overshadowed the pay-per-view and everything else going on at the time,” Cena explained. “That’s how big and important it was, and why we are talking about it a year later.”

When Cena received confirmation from WWE officials about bin Laden’s demise, he immediately grabbed a microphone and stood on top of the announce table. Upon hearing the news, the WWE Universe inside the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa began to cheer and joined the rest of the nation in chants of “U.S.A.”

Twelve months later, The Cenation Leader joins the entire nation in reflecting on the impact of the mission in Pakistan and the events that led to the raid. Like all Americans, Cena is grateful to the brave SEALs who defended America and her freedoms – the very freedoms that allow WWE Superstars like John Cena to perform for the country and the world.
